Education and development are important, but we know that nothing matters more than the safety, security and health of your child. We treat each child like they are our own.
That’s why protection and preparedness are critical considerations in everything we do in our center.
At Puzzle Piece we:
Practice Fire and/or Tornado drills routinely to show children how to respond to emergency situations.
Each child's files are kept up to date with current phone numbers, addresses, and contacts.
Emergency numbers are posted by the telephone and are accessible to staff .
Staff is trained in First Aid, CPR, and AED. They are updated every two years.
Evacuation Diagrams are posted in each room.
Security cameras are in each room and outside the building.
A door code is needed to enter the building. Those picking up without a code must show a photo ID and be listed on the pick up list that the parents fill out.
We are in contract with a church in town and a bus company in the event of a natural disaster.
All injuries are documented regardless of severity.
An AED heart monitor is on site.
We have a basement in the event of a bad storm.
We have several first aid kits on site.
We follow all state guidelines and stay in teacher/child ratio.
